We Can Help You “Organize” to Join a Union
With over 5,000 members across Ontario, Local 333 has a powerful place in Ontario’s labour movement. Growth is essential to maintaining the strength and progress of the collective agreements we negotiate.
President McNaughton and the Organizing Department are dedicated to providing excellent service to any worker who wants to bring the benefits of union membership into their workplace. The organizing department strives to help organize workers through educating non-unionized workers on their rights in the workplace and how the presence of a union can increase their wages, improve their benefits and protect their jobs and quality of life. Many workers are afraid to organize their workplace because they think management will fire them or that their co-workers will resist. The Local takes every precaution to protect your anonymity throughout the organizing process.
If you want to learn more or if you want to organize your workplace, please contact the Local 333 Organizing Department at [email protected].
It is important to know that your employer cannot prevent you from organizing and they cannot threaten you or your job. You may not, however, conduct union business (including organizing) during your scheduled work hours and you cannot conduct union business with a co-worker during their scheduled work hours.
